Wow that's a really "professional" looking finish. Probably much better and easier than painting.

Painting sucks....if anything, you gotta dye it.

Yeah the paint peels off. By the way, will the dye smell bad on the gun?

There'a very little smell if any. Actually, I don't recall a smell during the procees. Remember, this is the same dye used on clothing and fabric.

Will this dyeing thing work on steel? The paint on my 2240 is flaking off like crazy. Also, Gotrice, what make the P22 so crappy?? I'm thinking about getting one.

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Let's just put it this way, it's inaccurate to the tenth degree, the trigger has a hard pull, and it's weak. (I know this is irresponsible, but I shot my middle finger from 6 inches away and it only stung for 30 seconds  ).

It won't dye steel. It may stain it, but it won't be consistent.

Get some moly resin, won't ever come off and you can get it in different colors.

As for the P22, I think it's fine for what it's intended for. I use mine as a stress reliever in my bedroom. Got a Crosman sticky dart board for it and it's accurate at the distance I'm using it. Just gets tiresome after a while having to rack the slide back for each shot.

The drop-down magazine is really cool though. I could play with that feature all day. :P

I know what you mean, I just slide the magazine in, release it and put it back in. I love the "click." It's great to relieve stress that way too.
