Poor old airgun.

#1 Post by Jan »

EDIT: It is a Pioneer NO G6432 MADE IN CHINA .
--
EDIT: UPDATE: Ok well I got it to shoot! It shot right through both sides of a pop can no problem(I know nothing special).

But anyway, I still can't cock it open, I can only cock it closed. The only way to shoot it right now, is to take out the pivot bolt then angle the barrel down then replace the pivot bolt then cock it the rest of the way then just cock it back and shoot. What could be the problem!?

My sister surprised me with this present. There are no indications of manufacturer or caliber but from the bore size I can tell it's .177 Cal.
I cannot cock it no matter how hard I try. I don't want to force it to hard. Not sure what I should do. Not that I need a new gun or anything it's just that I wanna shoot it! Heh. :D

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

I have one exactly like it  Got it at a yard sale last summer. The trigger on mine needs a lot of work but it shoots hard. Pellets disintgrate with the steel plate test

I can't find any identifying markings on it so it looks like a double mystery.

Anyone got any ideas on how I can fix it(I can not cock the barrel, I'm guessing the thing that locks the barrel is too stiff right now, I oiled the gun earlier to see if that would help but It's still not budging). I haven't really worked all that much on the internal of spring guns. If I open it up will the spring shoot out at me or anything crazy??

First, remove the stock and then take the barrel off. (the right hand screw on your last photo is the lock for the pivot bolt so it has to be taken out first)

Once you have the barrel off I think that you will find that either the latch pin in the barrel is seized or the piston is seized inside the tube.

Let us know how it goes.

Can you not cock at all or can you cock halfway and then it stops and grinds about halfway?

IF it stops and grinds halfway it could be that the piston rod is bashing into the spring guide because the spring guide is not aligned properly with the piston rod.

The fix ---> bend the spring guide into shape or get a new one.
