The Best Grouping I've Ever Gotten

#1 Post by Gotrice23 »

This target was done under the supervision of a R.O. So I promise it's offical.
I shot a 1.1 cm grouping with the Daisy 853C from 32.8 FT (10 metres)

Image
(The grouping is to the left because the rifle wasn't sighted in)

Unfortuanatly I screwed up on the second target (there's 2 circles we have to shoot on one target) so I didn't get a badge for Destanuished Marksman(sorry about the spelling). I got a 2.6 on the second circle. Oh yeah, I'm at level 3 right now (level 1 is the lowest and can be earned with a 3-2.5cm target). The targets are scored by taking the worst circle and scoring it(which sucks). Oh yeah, just to tell you....I'm a leftie.

I was shooting at cadets so it was prone. (Cadet usually shoot prone, rarely standing, but just those 2 positions are used)

Today I took my rifle test in JROTC funniest thing happened. On my test targets I cleaned out the middle. Now its time to shoot for score well I completley miss my first target! (idiot next to me bumped me... I swear! )
any way this is going on during school so of course this is not my gun. These guns have been fired millions of times mostly by kids who dont respect rifles. Any way so I dont shoot for about two minutes pick up my head and start shooting now im hitting center each time. Put I really wish I hadnt messed up the first one. as time goes by I feel this gun gettin easier an easier to pump. I figure it so damn old and its no big deal. well two targets left and pssssss..... the valve is cracked. Thank god I get to take it over.

Nice shooting Gotrice. Nothing wrong with 3. It gives you something to shoot for, #1

Yeah thanks. I'm still trying to shoot for "Distinguished Marksman" which is rank 4. Oh, and just last Wednesday I got promoted to Corporal. 8)

have to check what rating my nephew is. he is a Corp. also , though in the Air Cadets based out of Langley. I know he is a heck of a shot with a .22
