Argentina .22 lead balls -holding to a dime at 20M.

#1 Post by LarryS »

Rain continues to foul my shooting up but I thought this info may be useful while we wait for a time of formal testing from all the balls.

The Crosman 140 Spoon:

With a cheap 2nd-hand scope which magnifies a dime at 20M to just barely large enough to see the crosshairs are inside the dime somwhere
with a bit of movement ......groups are within....UNLESS.... on my 7th pump(588FPS) the backpressure does not feel as hard. When this happens I will get a quarter size spread.

Once in a while maybe 1 out of 7-10 shots, I get one flying out another inch. This could be my homemade shooting rest and/or the rifle. It is not likely the ball.

No.... I do not test this gun with my shoe. -LarryS
