At furthest 75 ft indoor, hit a tooney no problem with open sight ....

I bought 5 - 24" barrel for 2240, they're all not the same, some very
straight and other had droop on them. I used 3 set screws on the barrel
band to adjust as straight as possible.

I use my 2260(basically a 2240 with a 24inch barrel) to shoot capgun ammo at 15m. It will not miss if the CO2 is full.
But I'm getting less accurate shots with a 24inch barrel than a short barrel. The 24 inch barrel creat too much friction. If the pressure starts to drop(usually after 30 shots or so), the POI will change dramatically. It's best with a bulkfill:D

Hi Sirjeigo,

The one that you have is 2289.
To convert 2240, all the parts is about 200 - 300,
complete with the bulkfill.

My final 2240 config honest!!

#8 Post by randyhub »

Here is my latest and last build. I have heavily modified my 2240 and prefer the 14 inch barrel for the convience of shooting in the bush as my shooting is usually under 40 yards. Over 40 yards I use my Webly Patriot doing 920 fps in .22. I have removed the 3X9 scope and mounted a 2.5 power military scope style scope with a laser due to the 40 yard design range. The laser works well in low light conditions such as shooting in heavy woods and is visible when also using the scope. The bulk system with HPA and CO2 and a slide valve coiled remote is the only way to go. The dual 9 oz CO2 tanks are used in the summer and the HPA tank which is not effected by the cold for winter. The barrel has a heavy aluminum mock suppressor and is crowned which greatly contributes to it's overall accuracy and performance. I have owned many airguns during the past 25 years and I can say this setup is the best field combination I have ever used.

Amazing how much performance can be achieved when modified correctly.

Randy

how do you refill your CO2 tanks? do you keep buying new ones? and how much? how many shots does it last?

btw i got an extra stock and wouldnt mind selling it or trading for some new accessories or even ammunition.

Hi Joe,
yeah, PCP is very fun to shoot with. Currently I have 5 PCP rifles,
sometime I even convert the CR600 to PCP for short shooting 10 rounds.
it gets higher fps with hpa.

The 9oz or 12oz CO2 bottles is refilled from 50 Lbs tank. In average the
50 lbs can refill 80x of 9oz bottle. The cost of 50 lbs is $ 50.00, so per
bottle is about 63 cents. Per bottle will give in average about 600 - 800
shots depending how much mod in the valve.
