Hi Sammy,

After a while you get used to the snide comments and funny looks. Really we should be laughing at those who are ignorant to the sport because of stuborn or narrow minded thinking. I get a thorough kick out of launching a projectile from any device, but I'm facinated with springers and other airguns.
The boy in me came out just the other night when I thought that I should see how fast a rubber band goes when I shoot it across the chrony!LOL! It was fun, and no wonder they hurt when you get snapped with one, there going about 130fps!LOL!
Enjoy you new found habbit, err hobby.

130!?!?!?!? Wow, that's as fast as a Walther P22! But I totally agree with you, we should laugh at them, .

Airguns would not have been discretely identified under firearms act and criminal code unless they were considered to do some REAL DAMAGE>
Good Luck

I have been to the local shooting range a number of times as a guest. A lot of the guys there dont have a lot of respect for airguns. Last week I took out my HW97k and my BAM XSB50 with a scuba tank. all of a sudden Ive got ten guys with powder burners all standing around watching, they start asking questions and next thing a guy with a lee enfield 303 comes and asks if he can take a couple of shots. These guys were impressed by the power and accuracy. Mostly any disrespect is based on ignorance, but once they see what adult airguns are about they are usually quite excited.
Airgunning is my hobby... and it is cheaper than
maintaining an outside relationship with another woman.
