killercrow's 1377 rifle

#1 Post by killercrow »

well, here she is. rediculous amount of hours invested. all i got to show is a 12 fpe 1377 :D breech made by jezx, a forum member here. and the bolt made by me. the stock is cedar fascia board  its ugly, but it works... just dont have the patience with wood. metal is fun, but wood stinks

What I don't like is the two different shades of brown, you need to make a cedar facia board forearm :D . The stock ain't that bad, did you use a dremel, or just your hands and sandpaper? I'm in the middle of making a set of grips for my next 2240. The equipment I have are a jigsaw, lots of sandpaper, a couple files, and a palm sander. Don't feel bad, I'm making them out of a 2x4

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

thanx guys. no, i dont like the 2 shades of brown either... i was thinking about making the stock black, and an aluminum pump handle. we'll see.

i made the stock with files and a scroll saw... no sandpaper for me! one day maybe. i'll need a lot of wood filler for the handle too. i hacked it out with a skil saw.

Nice gun, Allan 8) as already mentioned the stock looks good. If you are thinking of black try the spray-on rock guard that CTC sells. It is farely tough and paintable. (don't get undercoating by mistake  )

That jezX breach is a thing of beauty 8)

BTW, I have made an aluminium pump arm for 1377. I'll post a photo tomorrow.

Thanks KB, I am one of those guys who really enjoys
"individualizing" the Crosman guns. I have to say though that I envy your collection of fancy guns.

Hee hee, you should see my 1389. Green forearm, black 2240 grips taped on, no sights... pretty funny looking.
