Daisy 853C-953

I have a Daisy 853c that would require a new breech block, the probe got broken off by an eager youth. He forgot to move the single pellet tray back in place and pushed until the probe broke. :(

I have tried (4 Times) to order a replacement directly from Daisy in the US, but it stay stuck in Custom. So far I have expanded over $50.00, and still no replacement. :(

Is there a place in Canada that would carry part for the Daisy 853C or the 953. If not is there a repair that could be done at home. I am thinking of putting a brass rod in place (threaded and shaped like the old probe). Is there any spec on the proper probe length. :D

Any way, any help would be appreciated. :D

Do you still have the broken piece? If I had the broken piece it may be possible to make a new one.
