Cheapie copperhead laser
Cheapie copperhead laser
Say your gun shoots way to the left consistantly, can you turn a little dial and make the laser beam turn to the left, or does it just project the beam straight forwards?

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

red dots are not laser beams and you can turn the windage and elevation left right and up and down and you need to focus on the dot being in the center of the target instead of slightly below the dot must be in the middle ofthe glass to hitthe centre of the target its a bit different i have a copperhead readot and a BSA RD 30 and both are set up this way and at 10 meters is bang on every time that i can get it totaly center with my target you gota allow for some body sway unless you ar using a gun rest of some sort .. any how hope this helps
Generic lasers in their mounting, such as laser levels, pen lasers, or similar, are not designed to have adjustable deflection. It is possible however, WITH RISK to the very small strip line circuit and laser diode to bend it very slightly inside the holder to reposition the beam. Also, there may be some room in the laser circuit board mounting to file the board edge & shim a new direction slightly.
Shooting type lasers probably have 3 point adjustments repositioning the laser cylinder similar to a "finder" on a telescope I would think or the mounting platform itself would be adjustable. Probably expensive stuff.
Worse part is..... the laser beam spreads very rapidly with distance going from a dot at 20 feet to about a 1 inch ball at 60 feet. Not all laser light emitted is parallel due to construction of diode and holder. Edge diffraction at the exit hole is a major cause of this spreading. I myself see little use for lasers in hunting..... I believe night hunting with any kind of light.... is probably illegal most everywhere. And there is little value in target shooting in the dark. But I am not familiar in this area of law and restrictions.... maybe someone else is..... -LarryS

On my Crosman Laser Sight there are Elevation &Windage Adjustment (Allan type screws) and one locking screw.
They are very sensitive and they should not be overtighten.
I ruined one before by overtightening it.
By the way they are a pain to adjust, you will not want to do the adjustment too often.
All in all they are one more toy to play with.
