Diana 350

#16 Post by bigdoug »

Hi guys, Happy 2006 to all airgunners up north and elsewhere!
I saw the comments on actual speed of Diana 350. I dont own one but I put great faith in the writing of Tom Gaylord. He tested the 350M Diana in the July 2001 issue of Airgun Letter and here are some of the results. Ive always found Gaylords test to be accurate and not slanted to please the manufacturer.
72 degrees 10 shot tests
RWS Super Mag 9.5 grains, average 992 fps, 20.76 ft lbs.
Crosman Premier 10.5 grain , average 946 fps, 20.87 ft lbs
RWS Hobby 6.9 grains (not recommended) average 1163 fps!!!

In the same issue he also tested the RWS 9B spring pistolmade by Cometa and it shot 6.9 grain Hobbies at average of 516 fps and 8 grain Meisterkugeln at average of 460 fps.

The key to this is shoot the heaviest pellets you can with good accuracy with the 350, it is a hard rifle to shoot accurately but it does have great power.
I buy and sell airgun literature and have many hundreds of airgun magazines and books.
The Airgun Letter is no longer published unfortunately.
