P.S. this gun? i buy it myself with my own money that i have earned! Nobody buys me things since twelve grade... if you call that lucky...

lol, evidently here in the US the definition of firearm changes depending on what state you're in. i just did a quick search and found this:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=define%3A+firearm

when you read the definitions, check out the url they came from. you guys might not be familiar with the state abbreviations, so when the url says "state.me.us" it's referring to Maine legislation, and "state.mi.us" refers to Michigan.

out of all the definitions on that page, the state of Michigan is the only entity to recognize a non-powder burning gun as a firearm. interesting...
not too bad for a 23 year old university student, eh?

lol, yeah...but the point i was making is that you might be correct. i don't know how your governing body has defined the word "firearm." the state of michigan considers an airgun to be a firearm but i have yet to find anyone else who does.

and since i neither live in nor ever plan to visit mighigan, who the hell cares what they think?

just a bit of humor. i support all 48 states,

one of my roommates is from MI, and we poke fun at each other a lot. he makes fun of my accent, i make fun of his, he makes fun of MS, and i make fun of MI. it's harmless, really.

if i touched a nerve, i didn't mean to. glad to hear you like visiting the states, though.

Hey Guys..

ti..

You were asking how old I'am...

I'm 41 soon to be going on 17.. :)
When you get to my age,, you'll know what I mean...

Thud..

No nerve struck at all..

I'm an Americanized Canadian. I watch American TV, American Radio, do my fair share of shopping in the US, Absolutely Love American culture and wish Canadians had the same attitude..

My favorite hotel in Atlanta is The Waverly, and my favorite place to eat is Pappa Deaux Seafood..

Georgia hospitality is Top Shelf...

I'd rather travel the Deep South of the USA than Anywhere in the world.

Here in Illinois, the term "Firearm" encompasses a broad spectrum (very sad)
Here is the part of FOID (Firearm Owner's Identification) that pertains to us here in IL:
What is the definition of a firearm according to the FOID Act?
"Firearm" means any device, by whatever name known, which is designed to expel a projectile or projectiles by the action of an explosion, expansion of gas or escape of gas; excluding however:
(1) any pneumatic gun, spring gun, paint ball gun or B-B gun which either expels a single globular projectile not exceeding .18 inch in diameter and which has a maximum muzzle velocity of less than 700 feet per second or breakable paint balls containing washable marking colors;

So I have to carry a card to own my .20, and .22 airguns.
