Mods for Slavia 631

#1 Post by TriggerHappy416 »

hi i just got a 631 a week ago....loving it so far 8)

i was wondering if any of u slavia 631 owners modded ur rifle..

i also want to change the sights...any1 know any good sights for this gun?
If i do change the sights how do u remove the original back sight?

 i might get a scope as well...what's a good scope for a springer? (i heard springers destroy normal airgun scopes)

thanks :prayer:

The rear sight comes off pretty easily with a punch. All that's holding it in is a simple pin that can be pushed out.

I have a Williams aperture sight on mine right now but I'd like to try scoping it.

As for tuning, there are some choices in the spring department. Some have swapped in a "machine gun spring" from princess auto for more power, and Jim Maccari makes a replacement spring, but anecdotal reports are that it makes the gun harsher to shoot and not quite as enjoyable as in stock form.

A proper lube and wrapping the spring guide in electrical tape supposedly takes the twang out of it, but I've yet to do this.

Jim Maccari no longer has Slavia springs. I bought one off of Gunbroker. Worked very well.

:) im thinking of getting an aperture sight. how do the williams sights compare to the beeman ones? and how much do they cost?

:? when u adjust the aperture sight to max distance, how far does ur pellet go?

Williams makes the Beeman sight, so they are the same. The Beeman is the AG version of the Williams FP sight.

The scope is a Bushnell 3-9x40mm Sportsman on B-Square Mounts.

I bought the scope from CT and the scope rings online. The muzzle break is a Beeman Universal also purchased online. The recoil pad etc is from Bass Pro in Vaughn.

I also have a bipod not shown.
