anybody know whats wrong with my 2289 heres the prob . when i start to pump the gun i noticed that when you get to the top of the pump . when the pump arm is fully open and the pump cup shows . air leaks out . i think i installed the check valve in backwards . but i dont know . any answers . thanks man .

your not leaking, your taking in air. well, you could have put the check valve backwards... try flipping it around.

i think you are ansering your own question by saying the valve stop is back wards.looks like you must take it down

If it blows out quite a bit of air, you got a problem. But if it just goes "puft" a little, it's natural, the gun is just taking in air.

jake didnt you already have this problem, or you ight have told me sumthing else? but if you dont own a 2289 dont call it the worst...
it can be easliy modified as you already know to be amazingly powerful 22 cal gun
