Night Stalker
Night Stalker
The Night Stalker has landed in Canada ......
Only the PAL version ..... too bad .... so sad ....
I was just thinking who would register one of those .... I certainly wouldn't
rated for 580 fps. can anybody imagine outdoor in the winter time ....
it would becomes NON-PAL ......it'll be lucky to get 450 fps with a good
weight of pellets ..... this is totally doesn't make any sense ...

Nightstalker
I picked one up just for the hell of it, well because it looked like a cool toy!! While it may be plastic and pal rated, I had it out on the weekend and it`s a truly great shooter, no problem hiting cans at 30-40 feet, have some extra lasers and red dot`s sitting aroung will get some velocity checks and target groupings up when I get the chance. worst part of the gun is that you have to seat the pellets in the magazines or it will bind the action.
Overal though I`m impressed. Quality so so but it will last for regular use. I have a 10 year old powerline pistol that still runs just fine and it`s about the same quality.

lol, i promise i'm not laughing at you.
i can see how they would view an airgun as a weapon that needs to be licensed as a firearm would. they definitely aren't toys. but to be fair, it's a bit ludicrous to register a gun that only generates 12 foot pounds of energy when a .22 lr can generate over 110.
i can throw a rock and generate more than 12 fpe.
anyway, from what i've read the Night Stalker seems to be a great airgun. don't be mislead by the claims of it crapping out after a while. the problem has been isolated and can be easily fixed by those who have a drill. now if i can just remember the site i read that on...

not too bad for a 23 year old university student, eh?
Hi thudthumper,
Our laws are even more pathetic than you think. The Brits have the 12FPE limit. We are at a 500fps limit, which could be less than 5 FPE in .177 caliber. This airgun law has been in effect for about 30 years now and was only updated a couple of years ago... but didn't get much improvement. An airgun becomes classed as a firearm if it shoots over 500fps and has a muzzle energy over 4.2FPE. A PAL licence is needed to purchase a "firearm" classed airgun (over 500fps).
I would like to see some political party make a wise decision and remove airguns from the registration system and delete the need for a PAL to purchase them. The registry system is failing bad enough without plastic toys being added to the files. I don't think airguns are the weapon of choice for armed robbers or bike gang members.
