Jocelyn at Cibles showed me an e-mail about it some time ago. Surprised that it hadn't sold yet. Guess it's not been widely advertised.

Hey Guys..

Talked to Jocyln at Cibles again today.. Asked him about that FWB 600 that was for sale, and however it is not his it is still for sale..

Price was I think $850.00..

Considering the price of a new one,, I think a pretty decent price. If he could be talked down on it a little I think it would be for sure worth it..

I modded the trap door on it today,, a little hesitant at first, but Jocyln assured me that another trap door could be ordered...

A major problem of attaching a scope to this gun is the trap door. As the rifle is cocked the trap door swings open, which won't allow a scope to be mounted above it..

So I removed the trap door, cut most of the door off, then ground it square on my Disc and 2X72" grinder. Deburred ,cleaned and re-installed..

Works Perfectly!

The best thing about it is, from the bottom of the base to the top of the trap door is under an inch...

Awesome.. No problem putting a Wicked scope on it now....
I see another Air Max in it's future..

Try to get a few pictures of it later tonight...

Hey Guys...

Well..LOL

If I would have realized that I didn't have Flipping pictures of the trap door Before the Mod I would have taken some..

Unfortunately now,, I only have pictures of the door after it was modded...

There was at least another inch of door ahead of the pins,, making this about 2.25" high in the open position...

After the Mod the trap door is less than an inch...

Image

Sorry guys..
I suck at doing project pictures...

I also didn't get pictures of the stock being redone either..
Woodworker called today and stock is ready as well,, so it should be put back together tomorrow evening...

Now a Scope/Mounts, a barell blueing and off to Cibles for a tune up...

Getting closer...

Hey Guys...

Well...

A slight set back...

I just managed to strip the allen head screw holding the transfer port onto the piston body.. (F___)

Ok,,so before I completely destroy it,, off to the gunsmith tomorrow and see if he can get it out...

Bummer!

Hey Guys..

Ok,, was Sweating there a little...

Was bothing me so much I went back out and played with it some more...

I got it out!! Pheeew..Screw is F'd,,but it came out clean and no thread damage...

What I did was put the barell/piston body in the vise,, and tapped in a T-20 Torx bit, then simply removed it with a 1/4" ratchet...

Worked like a charm...

so...

Back on Track!!
