My accuracy test on my Daisy 853c & 953 with scopes

#1 Post by under500fps »

I did my little test in a sitting position my arms resting on my knees at 35' from the target trap.
I used Copperhead Wadcutter pellets.
Both scopes are Crosman 4x32.
5 shots per each target.

Hey, that 853 is a sweet shooter with the scope. The 953 seems to be having some problems.

Hi Todd,
When i shoot the 953 i feel that something makes the pump handle move so it is probably why the shots are going off center  :?:
By the way if my eye sight was better i would shoot open seight with the 953 believe me.

Does the moving pump handle effect the breech-to-barrel junction? ... or how then does the pump handle effect accuracy?

Does the barrel move around in the stock?
Does the receiver move around in the stock?

Todd
If i could figure it out i would try to fix it
And it would probably be easy to fix but i am not the brightest thing on 2 legs.

I have a 953 too, but I get near one hole accuracy at 10m. If you disassembled, did you reassemble and tighten all the screws enough?

Another problem would be the stock on the 953 being too short causing you to pull the gun off target. I'm 6'1" so I added a 2/3" spacer to my gun (sits in my shoulder nicely now).

no maybe, if you're a registered cadet, you get the discount.

Not only that, you'll shoot better with a rifle that belongs to you and adjusted to fit properly. And, there are trigger mods available....but shhhh....don't tell anyone....
