real 2240 power vid

#1 Post by supersundance »

This is a real quick vid of me shooting my 24 inch barrel 2240 with some custom parts tuned by me, you will notice its still running a plastic breech, stock transfer port o-ring and port. The gun was filled to 1750 psi of air and you can see its not even close to maxed for psi as every shot goes down in speed. Around 2200psi this thing really turns on but i have to hydro it before i show its true power. I am surprized by how quiet it sounds on video but let me say its alot louder in real life. Pellets were plain old crosman points @ 14.3 grains Any questions post away or email me direct@ supersundance@sympatico.ca Some poeple just like to see proof of what a 2240 can do and i will some some better proof soon.

have you modded the internals to accept that kind of pressure, or is the gun capable of handling that in stock condition?

does anyone know the max safe operating pressure?
not too bad for a 23 year old university student, eh?

The gun has many modded parts inside, the valve is securred by 4 fasteners along with the sad little original one. The max safe operating pressure will be different for each gun and you must hydro test each gun to find the max safe pressure. If you want a gun to be safe at 2000psi you must take it to 3000 psi to get your safety factor and you have to know how to do it right. You cannot fill your gun with air to hydro test it (unless you wanna get hurt).
