Yes the trigger pull is hard! It does get a little better after a while, but not much better. It is probably possible to tune it to some extend to make it a bit smoother, but I never tried.

Also I think the spring would benefit a lot from tar and lube tune. It's a bit "twangy" but that improves a lot as the gun breaks in. The scope is decent but personally I would suggest getting the 1040 if you can afford to get a better scope for it.

Overall it's a fairly decent gun. It's quite accurate once you get used to the trigger. And it looks nice too.

My Daughter bought the CT 1040. The trigger was terrible. Because of the trigger It was impossible to get the gun to group. Unlike the main lineup of Beeman guns which are manufactured in Germany and Great Britain, This model is made by Norica in Spain. If you are going to get a springer that is this price I say save a few more bucks and get the wonderful HW30s from illingworth imports. Much better made and with the amazing rekord trigger.
Airgunning is my hobby... and it is cheaper than
maintaining an outside relationship with another woman.

oh and i can spend about 300, well i got 300 right now, but i have to spend 180 on a chrono, and my sister said that she would buy me a present for $200, so if i put mine and my sisters money together i can buy somthing around 300, is the HW30 around that?

holy crap its hard to pick out a breakbarrel!!! i look at bunch of break barrels, and i love almost all of them, im really likin the Diana 24, even though i think it has a plastic trigger, is this really a verybig deal? i also liked the slavia but ive heard it has a larger scope rail, so you have to buy expensive mounts to put a scop on it. anyway, what do you think about the diana? is the velocity 495 fps? becuase i looked on another website and it said it was 400fps, but i dont know if it was a 22 version

coated red pellet (7.3gr.) at 486 fps on chrono. Easy light cocking, very
accurate tested at 20 yards, good warranty from CT. It's a pain to change
the spring. Restore the spring to stock original as GH650 (pal gun) would
do 630 max.
Yeah, it's a good looking gun, but I've heard there were troubles with the trigger.
Yes, you're absolutely right, it could have trouble with trigger, especially when taking the main spring apart. It uses very cheap design of trigger spring when it becomes a problem the gun would shoot by itself after cocking.
