i like my gun alot ,super accurat at 30feet 1/2'' holes are possable .(not easy but can b done)
i find the full power is great .but when sighted in perfect if i switch to half power it shoots 2'' higher (yup higher). i try my best to stop this but it happens . the first bunch of shots i was tring to get the lock time right but i can't . i think the piston jumps before the pellet leaves( that what it seems like)
do others have this problem?
also does the .22 barrel stopp 1.5'' short of the shroud end?
another question for other beman p3 /hw45 owners
The dual power level is not a feature that most people use on the HW45. Your POI will change when you switch back and forth which requires you to know the POI for both velocities. My .22 HW45 has one power setting and I have no desire to change the piston for dual settings. Full power is fine for all my needs.
In low power the pellet stays in the barrel longer and this gives the muzzle a chance to recoil upwards a bit more before the pellet leaves. POI will be a bit higher than at high power setting.
The HW45 barrels all stop a bit short of the end of the aluminum frame. You can slide a q-tip down the muzzle and feel when the rifling starts.
HW45 = P1
HW40 = P3
