I was thinking about purchasing some of those Skenco pellets in .177 for my CZ Slavia 631. They look interesting, and at 5.4 to 5.7gr very light.

Let me know how they work out for you... I may just buy a couple of tins to try them out.

hey Zero_enigma,

that was my original plan... but i didnt find the camera and it was so tepting to install all the goodies onto my 2240 plus my friend was over, so i absolutely could not wait for my dad to come home and tell me where he put the camera...

but i will probably take it apart, put the 2240 back together and make a guide showing how to do this first step in modding a 22xx gun. if i will overcome my greed (co2 powerlets, lol)i will also chrony the gun with standard 7inch barrel, 14.5 inch barrel and the 24 inch (i also heard that a steel breech adds fps, will test that "Myth" too)

i will test the skenco pellets and the kodiaks, wait for my update in a day or two.

the gun was amazing.... went clean through 3/8 plywood and burried the pellet into pine at 10 meters. couldnt chrony it as it was raining.

any recomendaton on a scope? i am currently using a 4x15 bushnel (lol, i know). thinking to buy something like 6-24x50 from BassPro or LeBaron (dont even try to say that it is going to be too powerful of a scope...)

lets hope it wont rain this weekend in toronto, i remember the forecast saying it will (lets hope this time they will be wrong, as usual actually, lol)

I also go a shipment today from D&L. :D At some point this weeked I will do as controled a test as I can with three different kinds of 177 pellets.

JSB Predator (8 grains)

Skenco type 3 (8.5 grains)

Beeman Kodiak (10.6 grains)

The purpose of my test is to see which pellet will be best for grouse hunting. I will post my results.

aaaarrrgghhh...you lucky guy.
I've got a shipment on the way from D&L that was scheduled to arrive tomorrow for a shooting outing this weekend (the first rainfree weekend in these parts in a month).
Just got notification from Canada Post..."Due to delays caused by the recent strike, your order will be delayed for an undetermined length of time. An updated delivery date will be provided when available"
THE STRIKE ENDED 2 WEEKS AGO!!
I tell ya...every single bill, payment, etc that I've been able to has been switched to direct deposit.
If I could, I'd never use these guys again.

Doesn't anyone read the prior posts anymore!! :P Lauchlin pointed out right away that "The receiving from D&L" was an old thread dug up from Posted: Sat Sep 17, 2005 3:38 pm by Mac223
So DuH! Ya. Of course the shipping was cheaper back then. :P And no wonder that he had recieved it already, as it had been shipped 6 years ago. :P
