RM422

#1 Post by Elements »

I purchased a mint condition Crosman RM422. I am looking for help to acquire a manual for this gun. I also need advise on what oil to use and how often and how much oil to apply. If there is any other maintenace the gun requires I would appreciate hearing about this also. The gun was purchased for shooting indoors. I tried to contact Crosman for a manual and I couldn't complete the mandatory form as it required a zip code and state. If there is a Canadian contact please advise.

Thanks for the help

I also have the RM422. The best oil to use for it is air tool oil that can be bought at Canadian Tire or any Hardware store. As for an instruction manual you would have to contact Mendoza because thats where the RM series are made. Crosman just paid to have their name put on it. If you ever interested in upping the fps on your RM422 feel free to ask. I got mine shooting at about 600fps at the moment. It will be more when I get a new part that I need. Well I hope I was of some help. Also don't oil the RM422 that much. they don't do well with too much oil. I usually oil mine every 1000 shots or ever 4-5 months.

No problem. Hey you live in Waterloo. I live like less than an hour away. Where did you get your RM422? I have been looking to get another one because I like the one I have sooooo much. Except they do break down fast. I have had to change the parts in it numerous times. I'm actually re-building my RM422 at the moment.
