A Couple of Nice Little Weihrauchs
A Couple of Nice Little Weihrauchs
Been extremely busy at work and have not have a chance to play with my airguns and post on the forum.
Here is a couple of little HW that show up today that prompted me to post. A HW50s that I waited over 3 months for and a special shiny little guy, a HW30s FT in satin nickel.
If I can only go out and play with these little gems.

Thanks all.
I got them from Illingsworth. I was talking to Harvey regarding my HW50s order and he mention he had a few HW30SFT nickel in his shipment, so I got weak and took one also.
The nickel HW30s is a FT version with no open sight. Looks like I have to search for a nice set of silver rings and scope. The HW30s nickel is $299.
Ramjet, the stock looks like painted breech. I have remove the stock to verify for sure. I never knew they have them in nickel either.
Nice HW40pca you have there. Looks like they have fiber optic front sights now. I have an older one that does not. It is a great little plinker. You will enjoy it for sure. Amazing accuracy.
I'll post my HW collection in the forum gallery when I get some spare time.
Both the HW30s and HW50s are .177cal, non-PAL. I have way to many HWs in .22, including a HW30s in .22cal. These two would be my only .177 cal HW rifles.TCooper wrote:Where did you get the nickle HW30S? Are more available? Price? caliber?
Is the HW50S detuned? Caliber?
Thanks,
Todd

Hi ETA,
Does a nickel finish require oil for protection? I have never owned a nickel firearm, just blued and stainless. The nickel looks to be weather resistant.
What are your first impressions of the nickel finish? Quality workmanship?
Are you planning to scope the HW50S or use iron sights?
I chronied my .177 caliber HW30S when I have the detuned spring. Velocity was in the 520fps area with 7.9 grain. It would likely sneak just under the 500fps line with heavier pellets. The spring had about 2" chopped off the end to bring velocity down.
Thanks,
Todd

Thanks guys,
Sniper, aren't you the resident Diana aficionado?
Todd, the satin nickel finish is very well done. The whole visible action/barrel is nickel plated, including the cocking linkages. The satin nickel finish hides smudges and fingerprints very well. The weather resistance should be far superior to standard blueing. I EEZOX the finish anyways. However, the satin black stock shows up the finger prints and smudges more then the standard wood finish.
I am planning to use a Williams peep sight on the HW50s. My standard HW30s would have the open sights and the nickel HW30s gets a scope. That should round-off the sights selection for my light springers. Darn, I need another one with a red dot.

I guess you're right, I just got some info to fit D24 .22 in my collection.ETA wrote:Thanks guys,

I'm just starting to wonder now if I should change direction to HW's collection. Since the HW100T, 45, 77 ........ hmmmm.
Williams peep sight sounds like a good idea, I saw some a couple weeks ago with interchangeable sights on them depending what exit hole you want.
Oh yeah, of course you need another one with the red dot ......
I wonder what's a good red dot out there in the market that have a decent dot like in the REX Red dot Scope.
