Can lubetech brand "heavy duty, multi-purpouse lubricating lithium grease" be used to lubricate the innards of a springer?
Its the redish colored grease used in automobiles and such. Comes in a cylinder tube.
Could I use it on the spring/piston?
Can lithium based lubricating grease be using in an airgun?
Lithium grease ..is thick and would rob your gun of some power ...maybe 30--40fps ..add to that it does oxidise and becomes gummy ...so its an optimum lubricant .You best bet would be some Beeman m2m molly paste !/2 ounce tub$5 , or James Maccaris molly paste $7 a little goes a long way and will last as long as your spring or seal ( untill your next rebuild ) so its money well spent ..if you do a lot of springers 12 or more
you can buy some locktite industrial molly ..very slick stuff comes in 8 oz and 1 pound sizes .

Militech Grease=Lithium Grease?
I note from the Material Safety Data Sheet for Militech Gease, which is touted as great for airguns (and just about everything else except curing cancer), indicates that it is 20% Lithium Stearate.
