so the other night i was testing out one of my guns over the chrony ,had a 2x4 as a stopper for the pellets, a couple bounced off a not in the bord .i got done testing and left for an hour .
came back to do more tests , and saw there was stain spiled on the floor just behind where i stand to shoot across my chrony . i looked on a shelf above and saw there a can of wood stain with a pellet hole straight through . one of the pellets that bounced off, punctured the can near the middle spilling the stain over the shelf and floor . kinda funny .
so this led me to test my safty glasses . they are the glasses with a black plastic piece that goes behind your ears and across the top of the one piece lense .
i was impressed . a .22 flathead pellet going 400f/s will not even mark the lens , i felt safer. so i desided to test more .500 f/s ? still good .
....then i took the glasses off ( LOL ) . accualy i had them proped up on a phone book .
they seem good to 550 f/s . 700f/s and major damage . not only did the pellet hit into the phone book but the plastic stuck to . i woud think the safty glasses may hold more then my test of 550 .since i did shoot each lens twice .
so i would guess that they are safe for bouncing pellets
