Diana 350 mag review...

#1 Post by 350mag1 »

There were acouple of members asking me what I thought of my Diana 350 mag. I thought I'd just post a "mini-review" on it to give you an idea what the gun is like. Power, yes it's got it! My gun clocks 15.9gr JSB Exacts around 800 fps and 14.3 CP's around 850 fps making it a 22-23ftbls gun. Forget the RWS "rated" velocities, that are so far over inflated. They rate this gun at 1050fps! The lightest pellet I found, the Promethieus, clocked at 1015fps. Diana rates them at a more realistic 900fps which it will do with RWS Hobbies. An example of the 350's power- I put an apple juice can (2Litre size?) at 100 yards. Jsb's will penetrate both side of the can at this distance. I have taken game upto a raccoon ( it was getting into my deer feed!) The gun is long at 48" but weight is not bad at 8.5 bls. Quality- is good but I wish they would put a better guide in their guns! Many models come with to small of a spring guide and the 350 is one of them. This makes the 12 3/4" spring(when set!) cant something mad. The build quality is good for a gun in this price range. some plastic parts like the trigger some gripe over but really doesn't hinder the guns performance. Accuracy- this gun kicks plain and simple so if you're not the kind to take time and practice, chances are, it won't group well for you. It's the same routine for any springer but the 350 needs a little extra care when shooting. Once you get on to it, it groups well for a springer in this power range. Hope this shed some light on the 350 for those you asked.

Hi 350mag1, good review ... accurate.
I had 3 people were asking too as well, 2 from Europe.

One strange design on the D350, the breech port hole is not centre with breech seal. I noticed this since the first pellet. I have confirmed with other D350 owners as well in U.K. to make sure that they're all the same. It's not a mistake or a defect.
It took me at least 2-3 weeks to get use to the recoil, also it became more accurate after the first 250 shots.

Yes, it took me a while to get onto my gun aswell. I couldn't even get 1" groups at 25 yards at first. Although, seeing wood splinters being blown out the back of my 3/4" pine back stop at that distance kind of took the concentration of accuracy and turned it to "Wow, this is cool! "

Thanks for the review 350mag1 !! Did you install a custom spring guide or is the original still in the gun ?

After aboout 7500 rounds, I redone the internals. I machined a guide to fit the main spring. I used a very hard brass, not sure the type. I think I'll make another out of delrin though. There's a little buzz after the shot cycle and I think that delrin would eliminate that.

You can buy them here in Canada for under $600.00. I got mine for $575.00 but I know that you can find cheaper. In the States, look around, I've seen them in the low $300's U.S. Once you get all the stuff you need to shoot pcp, you'll be well over the price of the 350.

An inexpensive pcp would destroy a 2240 :P

Chinese b51 with thumbhole stock is $319.95

or a BSA techstar for around $389

plus a pump or a scuba tank to fill it.. $235 for a decent FX pump, not sure how much for a tank...

Edit: A tank is about $299

but i think you need some fittings to go with it :P IT aint cheap to get into pcp

It's not as a matter of question this or that ....... make a list after this and then that ....lol......

Springer D350 is a must have ...... PCP HW100T is a must have .... and so on ..... it's just as a matter of time .....
Ask Sammy, he is beginning to understand ..... in less than a couple months he's already at HW100T level ..... advancing very fast ....

The "must have" bug bit me to and that's when the HW97kL became part of my collection. Man I love that gun!
