I like break barrel. Not for any good reason it's just my personal preference.

I voted break barrel because they are the only kind that i got and i am happy with them.
But that does not make it a fair judgement because i never try the other types.

Well for my second favourite I would have to say under lever. Because I do own 2 and they are pretty good.

I want to be different. I vote for "over-lever". The HW45 rules!

As far as action is conserned. for Me, Side lever, then under lever, then break barrel. side lever is nice because you can use a bipod without making the cocking action difficult.

under-lever is a pretty good action that can make for excellent accuracy especially when utilizing optics.....break barrel is second on my list of springers types...followed by the side lever action......they're all good!!!!

I've never used an underlever...

I like break barrels...easy to handle.
I'm always worried sidelevers are going to eat my fingers...don't have enough hands to hold the lever and load...

I guess I should throw in my vote. I think that underlever gives you the best of both worlds. You have the accuracy of a fixed barrel as well as the safety of being able to hold the cocking lever as you reload. I really need to buy another one!! lol! Any suggestions?!

I have the HW77, the only thing that scares me is the loading port door
I know there is a beartrap for safety but you never know ...
The best of underlever for safety I would think it's the Diana 300 and Diana 46, Norica Quick. Perhaps there are other ones similar to it.

I would break action, I love the positive lockup on my Patriot and couldn't even imagine have that cocking effort in a sidelever, god I would need a vise!!
