You should make the black silencer part out of metal, then slip it onto the extension making it look like a silencer. It shouldn't actually silence the gun, so it should be legit.

Nope, you were right on the money. I've got enough material here to do another one at 9.5". I'd probably have to mess around with springs at that point to keep it legal.

It only looks illegal. I couldn't find something to make a decent end cap out of. It focusses and directs the sound downrange. I think its actually louder with the shroud. . . Not enough to make my ears ring anyway.

It's beautiful...Just brings a tear to my eye. :cry: :lol: IMO it's a little too long to look like a real silencer. Nice job! :D

Yes, it could stand to be trimmed a bit. It doesn't fit in the case like that anymore. . .

There, I trimmed another inch and a half off the end of the shroud.

I still have 9.5 inches of that barrel left.
