a very special pellet

#1 Post by ineedpal »

today I tried to fire a crosman wadcutter in my QB78 at 750fps, backwards. The target was a block of relatively soft modeling paste. It formed an expansion chamber as in the pic, the largest place measured 16mm of diameter. It was also accurate enough to hit a apple at 10m, maybe this will help to make a more humain kill with some animals like squirrels.

Now you've started something.
I've been temped, but was worried about damaging the barrel or having the pellet jam.
Interesting demo. I wonder if they do tumble?
Will try one of my older guns and see what happens.

It works really well. I have also done it. They fly a little slowly do having a solid skirt which is the head ofcourse in this case but I can still plink accurately out to 30 yards using this method.

If you try to do that on a Crosman 2240 the pellet will jam. I accidently did that one and I needed a ramrod to get it out.

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.
