A "road block" on the .22 cal Quest...

#1 Post by 350mag1 »

Just got an email from Crosman saying the .22 cal barrel is no longer available :x So, that may slow things down abit but where there's a will, there's a way!

He is out of the retail end of the business. In the future I think he'll be all over the USA.

I do believe something funky is going on. I find it hard to believe that they would discontinue the .22 cal barrel for the Quest when the gun hasn't been out for very long.( In the States ) I remember the .22 cal B-19 drying up on the market and recall people scrounging to find one. Who knows. Either way, this Quest is getting a .22 cal barrel!!! I'll keep you updated. I wonder what the Quest would be like in .25 cal... hmmm................

I hope you it works out for you. Right now, I may have excess to a ratty old Crosman 2200 (22.cal). The barrel is very beefy on this old scow! Anyway, if I end up with it, I will machine the barrel to fit the orginal breech block of the Quest. Shouldn't be to difficult but time will tell. I'll keep you posted.

That's the mindset/attitude, it'll get done.

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Sorry Voltar, but I need the breech block for what ever barrel I going to use. If anything changes, I'll let you know asap. I've got a plan but I will not share it until it's reality :)

Ahhhh crap :!: I can't hold it in :!: I've been scoping a few ideas. 1) finding a .25 cal barrel. That would obviously give the Quest some serious knock down power but if it's going cost mega $$$ I won't do it. I can't justify spending lots of money on the Quest. 2) using a 22xx barrel and inserting it in a shroud type liner to give it strength and some eye candy. I like the 22xx idea the best because of cost and they are accurate with a little tinkering. Walter's got it made with the QB barrel... but those are not easy to come by. Very nice combo tho. Kevin from K+S suggested a B-2 barrel which I think would be quite simple and may be an option, so if any of you have a B-2, B-4, etc that is tired or left for dead, please let me know. Man.... I've been spending more time with this Quest than I have my wife- BETTER GO!!!!

Isn't the Quest the same as the Xisico B19? Perhaps the B19 barrel could be ordered through NS or Sunny. If its identical that would be the easiest solution. But is it identical? Thats the question.
