Hi,
I was just wondering if you know if there is any mechanical difference between the 35J FAC rated HW100 and the 16.3J version or is it merely regulator and hammer spring adjustment that seperates the two???

Regards

Hello Steevo, welcome to the forum.
Yes, the pressure regulator tuned out to the max and a heavier hammer
spring. This was according to a guy who owned both of them.

I use high quality air tool oil. Pelletgun oil will work just fine.
Very lightly coat the parts. Use as little as possible, just enough to 'wet' the rubbing surfaces.

I have noticed that the Yellow zone on the HW100's can vary. I have seen some where the yellow zone finishes at 80Bar and some at 120Bar...Why the difference??

Different power levels -> different regulator settings -> different markings.

There is also a 60bar version...

Another question from another new member -- on one of your first few pictures you show the regulater (C3) -- well i completly removed this and ended up with the washers/shims which are under it going everywhere (when you,ve stopped laughing my question is this) the washers / shims are not completly flat so which way do they go in, I did manage to find a diagram on the web which shows how many there are but not with the detail to answer my question, hope you can help many thanks --martin :(
