It's used to direct sound in one direction, but doesn't silence the gun. It's also for protecting the crown of the barrel and is a good cocking handle for breakbarrels.illusion34 wrote:i dont see any man, stop getting mad, im just trying to learn. i mean instead of saying that ccouldnt u just answer it?

He's been too other forums as well asking the same silly questions. I'm using silly loosely to be nice., But after reading a pile of his posts with the same question or another version of the same question and having his threads lock like the one where ""would a DROZD be good for house security."" Jeez, he's becoming a pain in the buttock.
If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

Hi Guys no question is a stupid or silly question .i think we should each show respect to each other,we all were once unaware of alot of things and we all have asked alot of questions to get answers...
now to give the full answer corectly to my knowledge and experience that i have accuried if i miss something please let me know , Muzzle brakes are yes to redirect sound they make the gun look cool , in most cases make the gun louder depending on the style and holes put in and angeling of the holes they can make the gun bark or give really high pich sounds etc etc. direct sound forward and back ward out the sides and more ..also help with Muzzle FLIP Gotrice23 you forgot a few things it seems and yes the make a nice cocking handel on a springer Air rifle or springer pistol..the muzzle brake can also help in the guns total balance as well and protects the crown ...
iam no expert here but I like others have asked alot of questions over time and also have done alot of research as well...i have also had the pleasure of trying out several styles and models of Muzzle brakes, as a note also if a muzzle brake helps with muzzle flip then it is helping with accuracy as well....
Gotrice23 A Muzzle brake can be made to direct sound in more the one direction ..the example you showed of the beeman brakes is noting more then a cocking handel and has no usefull effect other then a handle
and crown protector and is often found on low line guns like the 1783 and the FH500 not beeman but auctually marksman ..yes the brake is sold seperatly sorry not a brake its a cocking handel
a good example of a brake and can be found some where on the fourm or at my web site http://kandsairguns.tripod.com or you can also goto http://www.dlairgun.com/accessories.htm look a the Aluminum Muzzle Brake there as well..there are also many places on the net to see all different kinds of Muzzle brakes as well , the ones i sell are made by our own Metal Muncher who also makes a Do it your self Muzzle brake kit as well such a cool guy with alot of talent....
Gotrice 23 iam not trying to be a jerk here with you but if you are going to answer some one please be respectfull and also give a full and correct answer if you have one other wise ask around and research your self before doing so... this way you can give the best and most accurat answer that you can...
