Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Yes it works well, just do it slowly and take your time. I added a 14" crowned barrel to my 2240, did the shown valve work, 2289 hammer spring, extended bolt probe, transfer port, and bulked it and it is a very accurate hardhitting airgun now. :)

24" makes the gun way too long for packing in dense bush and all my shooting is under 40 yards which my 2240 with the 14" barrel handles quite nicely. Anything over I use my .22 Patriot doing 920 FPS which works quite nicely to 70 yards. Remember if you do all the mods a 14" barrel will yield good performance.

Here is a pic of my 2240 with a fake suppressor but you have most likely already seen it.

Did you use the 2289g barrel, or cut the 24" barrel?

Gotrice23 wrote:Well, I'm almost out of .22 pellets. Time to buy some more! What do you guys recommend? I'm using them to plink and shoot targets so a diablo, or wadcutter would be very suitable. And if you guys really need to know, I'm using them just for my 2240, I don't have any other .22 airguns.

The various RWS pellets i have had are of excelent quality, and have all been very accurate.

My 2250 shoots well with their H-Points.

Their Hobby pellets are quite cheap, though i've only had those in .177
