I figured I would try registering it to see what would happen. The detuned Slavias shoot under the requirements.......under certain conditions. Plus, I live in Alberta, I have no fear for the registry.
Also, as for some kid and a tuned up 2240 or whatever, in Red Deer there has previously been a problem with people purposely "dieseling" their springers for MUCH higher velocities. Due to this if anyone mentions dieseling, we can't sell them an airgun. If someone mentions tuning an airgun, we can't sell them one either (I totally ignore this and encourage tuning, in a safe and responsible manner.)

I dont see what you guys are so mad about isn't kinda a good thing that the goverment doesn't care about it. It's to much work for them to register your gun because it shoots 60 feet per second over the limit. And if you got caught with the airgun they're not going to take the time to chrono it and put you in jail for 5 years because it shoots 565 feet/sec. They dont care about it its like going 2 Km/h over the speed limit.
