Gun For Fun?
Gun For Fun?
I haven't done any shooting in maybe 20 years now, but lately I've been getting an urge to buy an airgun just for fun. I'd like something realistic looking with some power. Not being a serious shooter I don't think I would ever be doing any serious modifications or anything. Right now the two guns that attract my attention are the Beretta 92fs Nickel and the S&W 586.
Which of these two guns would you buy if the price was exactly the same? I don't live close enough to a dealer to take a hands on approach to deciding.
Thanks for any input.

Both are made by Umarex same quality but different looks.
Rememder with co2 pistol the longer the barrel the more fps you will get.

In my opinion for a long run you may be better with a Weihrauch HW40cpa ,no co2 do deal with ,one pump and a better trigger & around the same power & it is not soo noisy.

A good review on the HW40cpa:

If I were you, I would buy both of them, may be Beretta first, then the S&W 586 or the S&W 586 first, then the Beretta.
Oh yes ! get both!
Sinper is right, go get both!
I own both Beretta 92 FS and S&W 686 with 4''and 8'' barrel!
If money is not the problem, go get both!

I think everyone's right...
It's all a matter of personal preference.
I have both, but if I had to hold onto only one I'd keep the S&W just because "I" like it better. The feel, more power and it's a revolver with more shots. I do wish it had wood grips.
The Baretta is a classic too though and I think it will outlast the S&W.
I'm not familiar with the HW40 but it's just as valid with not having to worry about CO2 and you get constant velocity. Looks like a big gun.
Wrong Way is right in that the CP99 is a really fun, fast shooting, light and durable gun and at a great price... with magazine style CO2 loading and seven clips too!
Buy them all or if you can't... follow your heart.

Socko...Welcome to the forum.....If I could only get one of the pistols it would be the S&W with either a 6" or 8" barrel....I have found this airgun to be pretty good in the accuracy department as well as a hoot to shoot ..fun factor is up there and so is it's good looks.......then save up more money to buy the next gun on your list of "goodies to get".....It's all good....enjoy your stay...
