any good bb guns? 1377, b5, 2004

#1 Post by bahne »

First off i was wondering if there are any good guns that can shoot BB's. The reason i prefer them to pellets is because i will do alot of shooting out of this gun, and pellets get expensive. For what i will be doing, the accuraccy advantage on pellets is not really needed for me. I would like something single pump, so not a 901/880 or the like. Maybe a 1377 would be okay, as ive read they are really that good and dont take too many pumps. Can you shoot BBs out of them though in the first place? I thought it would damage the rifling, but ive read about people doing it. Or if i only shot bbs, would it really matter if my rifling was damaged? The next thing i was looking at was the crossman 781, but it just seems...cheap. Rifle or pistol, it doesnt really matter, just something pretty powerful and i would really prefer either a repeater with a magazine/clip or bolt action. also not co2 powered.

If there is not gun that fits those requirements (which i highly assume) due to my MANY requirements lol then i would simply like to know which one you guys prefer of the following. (ill just use pellets if i have to)

xs-b5-10
marksman 2004
1377

Sorry for the long post. If there are any guns that are similar to what i want, please let me know. I know there isnt going to be one that fills all my requirements, so ill just get the next best gun. THese are really just things i would like it have, and i would also lke to keep it under 100$. Price is the most important : ). Thanks

The 781 is cheap, but take care of it and it's fine. Pretty accurate, too. Single pump. Decent power. Get it. Probably a red dot would be fun.

Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.

Kevin

also the 1377 is totaly a pellet gun and the bbs would just fall out no magnet to hold them in so kinda hard to shot them right and yet it would damage the rifiling and comprimise accuracy either way
as it is a pellet only gun

we also have a consignment pages as well with some really great deals including a PPK thats there

B5 is a good choice 3 pumps that's all you need to get good power.

1377 is also good.

2004 is still questionable on the quality.

Get the 13777 then, it's a lot like the 2240, and I have one of them. They're nice!!

hmm well then i suppose i am leaning towards the 1377 then, but how would you compare the load/pump times between the 1377 and m2004? I mean how long it would take me between shots. The 1377 would seem faster with bolt action, but then it needs the multiple pumps.

I find my Crosman 781 pretty good for what it is.
One pump , it loads BBs automaticly when you cock it and you shoot it

On this link i did an accuracy test with this rifle.
