how much does the quest 500 cost at walmart? nt
oh, dang, i dont want to spend 200 bucks on the quest, well i do, but i dont, lol. im going to get the Beeman s500 1026, from can tire for 60 bucks or so, and my dad knows people that make springs, so ill get a better spring from them, and try to get the Beeman shooting in the 700's. i think i will have to get a custom spring made... do any of you guys know what spring will fit the Beeman s500 other than a Beeman s500 spring? is not, as i said, ill get one from my dads friend.
thanks, Allan

The beeman 1026 is of the worst guns I've ever shot. Trigger pull is horrible, hard to cock, kicks fairly hard... Don't get it, you won't be satisfied. Why don't you just get a 2240? You know you will anyway. No one can resist it for long...
Hey, don't hate. It releases negative energy, which is bad for everyone.
loll, okok, im going to start looking in to quest 500 and mod the spring and stuff. i dont want to go CO2 because i cant use it for half the year, and some of the best hunting is in the winter. i want to go springer. ive had a pumper, and i moded it, its alright, shoots through a 1" piece of pine @30 pumps, but i HATE pumping. lol, seem to like springers...
And it looks awesome... That purply-red stock and the way the trigger guard is shaped... Gives me a boner every time I look at it.RM422 wrote:The beeman 1041 from Can Tire is a much better investment than a Quest and can be modded to shoot at a higher velocity with a stronger spring.

completly forgot about slavia 631! it sounds like an excellent springer for the money.......and velocity is usually higher than advertised........ i don't own one but i do have a 624 thats 35 years old and it just bit the bullet. it still shoots but i think the seals are worn out or something. the pellet makes a weird twang when it flies through the air and it won't travell ten yards. but home hardware has them for a reasonable price.....
