NOP, not for 1040, make sure you get the right one or else you might end up replacing a de-tuned spring with another de-tuned spring ..... nothing gain.

Where was your 1040 made? Their might be a stamp on the side of the breech block.
From what I have seen at CT in Edmonton Alberta is you can buy the 1040 with no scope and its the Norica gun,made in spain.They have another beeman gun that comes with a scope,I think its about 249.99 and that gun is made in China.Who knows?
