honetsly i just say one the other day. i was going to get it other than it was used, was left in the on position and the screws were stripped badly. so right back into the glass cabinet it went. do you have the steel breech on your 2289? id proabably go for the tasco for a few more $

i dont see any reason why not i have the same reddot on my back packer aka 2289G and its great i love it

there is no reason why not, i'd say get it and see what its like. if you don't like it it goes back to canadian tire and they try to sell it again lol.

I think at 30 yards the size of the dot would cover lets say something the size of almost a crow......
If you want pinpoint accuarcy use a scope, if your just plinking then red dot is fine...
If ya ask me red dots belong on pistols......
Just my thoughts on it.....
