The moly to pick is the Molykote m77 for brake shims , thats the one James Maccari recomends as compatable with his seals ..I guess the reason being its substrate is silcone oil and silicone soap and does not react with seals unless they are made of silicone ( very unlikely).
The moly content is very high and its an excellent molly ..and yes its a 2 lbs tub ..your grand kids will be tuneing their guns with this molly!!

36 month shelf life!

#15 Post by RossB »

I note that Molykote M77 paste is a Lithium grease with a 60+% moly content in a silicone oil base.
The Dow Corning Product Information sheet advises that it only has a shelf life of 36 months.
There should be a "use before" date on the packaging.
What happens inside the airgun after 36 months?
