Just wondering if anyone has come across the brand name Marla"
in their travels.
Break Barrel, 177 Cal. Purchased probably Canadian Tire 1965-1975.
Appears to have had a round crest on the stock size of a quarter.
The rear sight is part of the break barrel lock. Tan colour stock.
Barrel blued.
No photo available.
Just curious about the brand name.
Thanks. Wolf.

I bought one of those Marla air rifles in .177 back in 1975-76...got mine from King Sol on Queen st. in Toronto...made in Hungary stamped on it....i still shoot this rifle to date....all original ....never replaced the seals or spring ....still cronos in the 480's with Crosman W/C....blonde stock with cheek peice....very accurate...the only safty on it is a trigger lock when not in use of course.....trigger is adjustable....lost the front site hood many years ago....would be nice to find more rifles built like this thing .....I think back in the day i paid $27.00 for it...I've shot 1000's and 1000's of pellets with this gun....back then a pack of 500 pellets was around .25cents....

Marla (ZENIT)
Brings back memories.I was living in Downsview at the time in my parents home.I was in grade 8 (41 years ago) and ventured downtown and bought one at Honest Eds for $20.00.The gun is laying on the bed as I write this complete with a factory grouping that came with it.Since then it has had 1000's of pellets thru it and is still a very accurate gun(like a 631).I replaced the spring in it some time in the 80's (Gecado 27 from Hallams when they were on Yonge Street). The spring was unique in that there were 2 of them. It's shot ravens in a Red Lake dump to rats at my uncle's old dairy farn in the Falls area.Old air guns like old sport cars gives you a time trip.
