I'm just curious if it gets much louder? I had a cp88 for a while and normally I'd shoot it in my garage, and holy crap was it loud. My neighbour who lives across the street would tell me he could hear the pops from in his backyard which is a pretty long ways off. I'm just curious if the umarex type CO2 pistols are among the loudest you've heard or does it get even louder? That would be rediculous. And what are the major factors influencing volume? I'm assuming CO2 is probably the loudest, since I've had pneumatic guns and they're pretty quiet.
The loudest I've heard is my 2240 which is modded with a 24" barrel. Ever since I put the 24" barrel on my 2240 I've noticed the shots are louder. WAY louder.
My CP88 is not as loud as my 2240 & Benjamin-Sheridan .20 co2 pistol.
My CP88 is about the same as my 1008 & 357-4-8
My Crosman Challenger 2000 is my quietest co2 airgun
I believe break-barrels are the quietest airguns .
Even a stock Mark I is pretty loud on high power, much more so than my 13/22xx pumpers. The longer barrels seem to be quieter, it's the short barrels that are loud IME, for a given style. I'll have a 2240 in a few days to compare with.

My loudest would be a 2240 PCP with 7.5" barrel doing 730fps
Those are loud.
A 3540 PCP you say Super...... wow I want one. need to remember that for a future project.
