So.........I had these spare parts hanging around..........

and I thought that I'd see if I could do something with them. The breech is a 177 Backpacker and the bottom is (obviously ) 2240. It's now 22 with a full shroud and built in moderator. There's a bit more work to do as it has to be converted to side-cock..........but I have a plan for that .
Also need the 177 insert in the flip-out changed to 22 but I have some mater1al to make one. Once done I'll report back but I think, if it works, that the barrel will get cut back a bit to make the whole unit more managable. Now..........what the heck am I going to use for a rear sight????

Ryan - I'd never seen one either..........until I bought a back-packer (from Marvin........I think.....one loses track after a while ). I just wanted the bottom end to make a 2289............and then I discovered that the breech will fit (sort of - it takes a little work) on a 2240 platform.
