Palm rest

#1 Post by Jester »

After shooting some paper with my QB for a while today I was thinking about a palm rest for it. I was paying attention to what I was doing with my trigger hand while shooting from the bench , and I think I could benefit from one. So I cut up some wood and slapped it on my QB, and it feels like it will work really well. I can't wait to try it, but unfortunately I've run out of CO2 :(

The down side is that it looks butt ugly on my pretty walnut stock. If I like it then I'll make a nicer one. Can anyone post some pics so that I can get some ideas for what will look good, while still being functional? All I can find is pics of PSG-1's, but I know there are airguns with them.

Thanks

Jester - I've made up palm rests for powder burners using accessory rail inletted into the bottom of the forend. This allows for adjustment of weight bearing point. I have some lengths of rail surplus to need.......if you're interested them give me a PM and we can work something out.

Cheers - Gus

Sorry maybe "Palm Rest" isn't the right name? I meant the type that is on the base of the grip, like on the pistol grip of a PSG-1. I have seen target shooters use them on high-end airguns. I think some 10m competitions don't allow them though. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone use them on their airgun?

Thanks
