Crosman Quest 500 trigger
I cannot find the adjustment screw for the trigger for a crosman quest 500. Is the trigger adjustable on the 500 model ?

There is a hole in the trigger guard to access the adjustment screw. The screw sits right behind the trigger, down in abit. The trigger spring seems to get caught in the slot of the screw which makes it a little harder to see. Just lift the spring end out of the slot and this will give access for adjustment.
The Quest 500 /1000 has an adjustable trigger via the adjustment screw behind the trigger .First of all the trigger is in bad need of lubrication and is best degreased and relubed dureing a teardown .
remove the trigger mechanism and degrease useing brake degreaser
then apply a 50% mix of oil and moly useing an artists brush , work the trigger to allow the mix to migrate to all the trigger parts .
Reapply one more time ...and apply a 65% molly to the trigger sear and the notch in the piston .Reassemble the rifle and useing the screw behind the trigger ..take out as much creep as you can .
while not a Rekord ..it should now be quite useable.

I would reccomend caution...
Don't screw it in to the point were the trigger pull becomes very short.
It doesn't change leverage like "proper" adjustable triggers, it actualy reduces sear engagment.
So if you get it right to the edge mechanical failure and acidental discharge become somewhat more likely.
