Webley Patriot

#1 Post by JayzDaMan »

Was looking at the Patriot at D&L.I've heard that they are excellent springers!I noticed that they also come in a walnut stock, for an extra $75.00.I was wondering if anyone has or has seen the walnut stock in person. Is it worth the extra money.

i have paid extra for walnut on a few of my guns.
i like them better and 75 bucks is not much more to pay...i have paid almost 300 more for a stock version in walnut.
it is a great gun and every stock would be different,
some plainer than others!

So do you think I should stay with the Patriot or look at some HW rifles such as the HW90 or 100?Advantages or dis-advantages?

well you will not find any more power than the patriot.
but if you do not need that much power...you cannot really use it alot for plinking...big gun.
i would get an hw-97 in 22 cal or if you want more power than the 97 go for the hw-90

Thats what I thought.I've heard that the Patriot is crazy powerful!I already have the HW97kl so I guess I'll see if D&L has the Patriot in walnut.I have heard that they are getting harder to get a hold of.Thanks for the info.

It looks like Webley and Scott are going out of business. If you are interested in the Patriot you may have to move quickly to take advantage of available stock.

If you pick up some Pattiots in .177, .22, and .25 in both Beech and Walnut you may save Webley from the receiver. Nice collection.

You're going to be a bit late on that - The Webley machinery and tooling has already been sold to AGF - a Polish company that used to produce airguns under the Predom Lucznik name brand.

I am also interested in the Patriot and after reading this thread got me worried that I wouldn't be able to get 1. I emailed D&L airguns and they explained to me that Webley are changing hands but they don't think they are going completely out of business. Good thing. I can't wait to get my patriot this summer.
