bulk fill qb-78....or pcp fill

#1 Post by edholton »

can you get an adapter to let the qb to be filled with a pcp pump?
and if so what fill would it be ?( like up to 100 bar?)
how do you fill with the bulk fill from sniper?

Bulk fill and PCP not to be confused. Very different systems

Ed, the QB is a CO2 gun and the Chinese tubes are made for that pressure say 1200. More and you are pushing the envelope.
The angle bulk fill is a copy of the Crosman system that used the tank with a 1/8" straight thread on it.
I kinda wish PCP was a term used only on guns designed for HPA and not the pumping up of CO2 guns with air. Bad combination of terms and one that could lead to accidents.

i am aware of the fact of the qb being a c02 gun and i have 3 pcp guns shooting air from a qb should not be any different from c02 really .
abvously not at the same pressure 200 bar being 3000 psi and i think c02 is around 1800 psi or so?

co2 in a qb is about 800-850psi max . i would'nt go above 150 bar . even 100 will be lots . the gun will shoot close to 1000f/s on 100bar if moded .and going any higher will require you to do work on the spring .there is lots of info on bulking that model

Nonsense!
The QB shoots really well when converted to HPA. I've had the pleasure of shooting Sniper's HPA QB and it's very nice. Ask him for more details on it.

Jester, are you referring to my post as nonsense?

A QB converted to HPA is a totally different gun than filling a CO2 QB with air.
I have made QB PCPs for some time now and know what it takes.

Hi Ed,

Yes, you can install adpt to pump your QB with your Hill.

So far I'm happy with 100 bars and get about 23 good consistent shots
with fully mod QB, I know there some guys here had tried even further,
I've done some exp. too.

All you need is attached a male fitting on the bulk and female quick disconnect
on your hose to the Hill.

I guess the bet is that if you look for it at hydrolic or pneumatic store at
your local but the problem is that they hardly carry anything BSPP as
your AA probably have.

Go to Tuthill Corporation and do a dealer search for your area/province
You can get the 1/8"NPT and BSPP from them in 1/8" straight through coupling pt# B1-T10 FOR npt brass male, pt # B1-T10BS for 1/8-28 BSPP
good for 2800 so pump to your hearts content.
