sad day turned almost happy

#1 Post by jezX »

my 50 cal was not shooting as well as i wanted . at 130 feet ,balls were hitting good but slugs were not , so i desided to resurface the inside of the barrel and run the rifling again , never done this before ... never do it again . F 'd the barrel up good .
so i choped it off and made up a 9mm barrel ,and a new bolt ....and it's back in action . i actually like the look of it better .
droped from 250 f/p in 50 cal to 120 f/p in 9mm . on 2000 psi .
one good thing is i can adjust the valve and probably get 30 good shots . insted of 10 . 170 pumps to get 140 bar (got to get my tank filled)

Why did the .50 suddenly lose power? I thought you said it was kicking butt?

it didn't loose power ,it just wasn't grouping well . with slugs so i tried ,a different rifiling and it messed it up . it had 2 seperate rifling twists .
a gun is only good if it can shoot what you aim at .
it kiks but in 9mm , whicked acurate .
