Did you mean to say the Buccaneer is built on the Scorpion?

I tried a Buccaneer back in 1980 and thought they were a slick rifle for plinking. Kinda unique in design.

Hi Ed,

Are you saying the Scorpion and Buccaneer do not share the same receiver tube? I always thought they were built on the same tube, but I could be wrong. The stocks and barrel lengths are obviously different but the tubes and guts might be the same. No?

I had a 22 with missing cocking aid, shot in the 365fps, They are a larger gun and very solid. I sold that one, but know of a 177 in box w/ cocking aid, probably expensive, these are collector guns.

My .177 Scorpion is 27 years old and still functions well. Recently I had a new spring, trigger and barrel seal installed. I don't have velocity numbers but will say that it is a very hard hitting pistol - pellets shot against a solid piece of steel totally disintegrate. I have learned to shoot well with it - aside from occasional fliers I manage 25 mm groups of 5 at 8 m distance, on good days. The fliers are my problem, the pistol performs as consistent as my hold of it is.
