Mark1 checkvalve

#1 Post by IanC »

I own a tau7 and fill it off of a 20 0z bottle so i dont have to buy carts.
After i do a fill i disconnect the tank and the gun has a checkvalve in the grip. I want to do the same thing with my mrk1

I dont want to use a nipple to do this because i find the method the tau uses is much more effective since its easier to remove the gun from filling without the big pop. I also use an on off valve on my bottle which i suppose helps too.

I figure there has got to be enough meat in the endcap to mount a valve right to it. The drawing is self explainitary so the question is whats it called and where do i get the part?
Thanks
IanC

The only one I know of is available from Mac-1. A few members here have them and it works well. For the adapter plus two bottles is USD$90.00 as I recall or USD$30 just for the adapter.

Im sure its got to be a common comercially available part at paint ball shops. I dont think the Mac1 can disconnect and shoot can it?

Maybe try phoning here

http://www.bryanandac.com/new_page_5.htm

or here

http://www.crookedbarn.com/repairs,_parts,_acces_.htm

A paintball shop should have the "1/8 NTP-to-ASA" adapter parts and the valve shut-off parts.

Yes, there's a valve built into the adapter so it can shoot without the bottle attached. I have one and it works well.

Just to make sure... I dont care about collector value its a shooter.
Is there enough room in the end cap to install a 1/8 ntp thead?

Hi Ian,

You are likely venturing into and area where nobody here has been. Most guys seem to buy the bulk-fill part and keep the original piercer cap for using powerlets. You can get the bulk-fill parts from Mac-1, Crooked Barn, MaxZBulk, and Bryan and Assoc.

To convert your piercer cap you would have to remove the button and piercer pin. Then you could see if there is enough material to drill and tap the hole.

Hey todd I suppose you are right. I would have to drill and tap.
I just thought about that. I will still need to buy a checkvalve.
So im probably better off buying the mac 1 version.
It has a burst disk in it so it seems the safest too.
How much total did it cost in canada?

Thanks for the tips boys.
