chronied my Diana mod 24

#1 Post by link_dc »

its going around 525 fps, and its only suppose to be 495, yay! also i just have one question, how do you take the end of the cocking arm, or cocking lever out? i want to get at the end that is pushes the main spring back. Do i have to remove the spring to do that?

I strongly recommend just shooting it for a while before you blow your warranty by taking the gun apart. If you are still unhappy with it after a few tins of pellets then talk to Diana about any problems you are having. Just shoot it!

Thats cool post your address and an officer will follow up..lol
Yeah they all run like that. The Lever comes out real easy you have to push out the pin in the barrel which has a clip in it dont lose it.
The arm should fall away. then jiggle the arm around a bit and it will come out. Instead of the pin you can remove the barrel and do the same thing.

THey are great guns just shoot it no play neccessary. I tared mine and i think it slowed down.

You will get used to the noise. My diana 24 has that too. I got used to it and don't even notice it anymore. Just shoot your rifle and don't think about it. You will be wasting your money to fix something that ain't broke.

The clicking at the end of the cocking cycle is completely normal, it is a side affect of the T05 mechanics. Every single Diana with the T05 will make that noise, don't fret, just shoot. If it breaks Diana will stand by there product. The accuracy is the biggest benifit to the 24, try shooting some groups with a good wadcutter pellet & you'll forget all about the annoying sounds. You've got a great gun, now just enjoy it.

but do you think that they would make it stop wiggling up and down all the time if i sent it for a repair, and when you tap on the stock, you can hear the cocking arm shake up and down, i know its not broke, but i would prefer there not to be that noise

That is also normal and I doubt it can be fixed very easily. My diana 24 does everything that you describe. It bothered me at first but I got used it. You can do what you want but I'm telling you right now there is no sense in sending it in for repair.

As the mechanism breaks in with use, it may go away. Things will settle in as you use it, parts wear in & things smooth out. If it doesn't & your not satified I'm sure Diana will help you.
